Class action ยท Common questions

Frequently asked questions.

Answers about joining the claim, sharing your provider or buyer story, and what happens as the case moves forward.

Who can join the class action?

Any independent provider or buyer who used the Field Nation platform and believes they were harmed by unfair payment, fee, deactivation, scoring, classification, or dispute-handling practices. You join in your own name, from your own records.

Is this only for providers, or can buyers participate too?

Both. This is a provider and buyer investigation. Buyers who experienced billing problems, hidden fees, or unfair project handling can create an account and share their account the same way providers do.

How do I join the claim?

Create an account, confirm your email, then open your member page to sign the join form. You'll confirm your name, state, role, the period involved, and the amount at issue, then give consent to be contacted and counted in the group.

Do I have to publish my story publicly?

No. Every experience can stay private to you and the reviewers. Public sharing is a separate opt-in per entry, and you choose the display name shown if it is approved.

What should I write about?

Describe what happened in your own words: the dates, the work order or project, the amount at issue, what you were told, and what actually happened. Add one entry per issue so each claim is clear and easy to match to documents.

What documents should I attach?

Work orders, payout statements, fee schedules, deactivation notices, support messages, screenshots, and bank records that support the facts you describe. Do not upload credentials, Social Security numbers, EINs, bank account numbers, or other people's personal details.

Who can read what I submit?

You, and the reviewers handling the claim. State attorney general accounts only see enrollments, experiences, and documents for their own state. Public stories are shown only after you opt in and a reviewer approves them.

How is my information kept secure?

Submissions are stored in a backend database with row-level security, encryption at rest, and strict access controls. Downloads are logged, storage links expire, and every action is recorded in an append-only audit trail.

What is the settlement timeline?

There is no fixed date. Class actions move through investigation, filing, discovery, motion practice, and either settlement or trial. We post case updates on the updates page as milestones occur, and you will receive email notifications about significant status changes.

Will I get money if there is a settlement?

A settlement or judgment could include compensation for class members, but no amount is guaranteed and no recovery is promised. This site provides legal information, not legal advice, and does not create an attorney-client relationship.

Can I leave the claim or delete my data?

Yes. Your member page includes a data export and a deletion request. Either action is recorded in your activity log, and deletion requests are reviewed to preserve any records required for the claim or by law.

How do I get the Minnesota complaint draft or state checklist?

Visit the state checklist page to answer tailored questions for your state, then generate a dated complaint draft you can send to your own attorney general. Minnesota has a dedicated draft template with your facts filled in.

What if I only have a story and no documents yet?

File the experience anyway with the dates and amounts you remember, then add documents to the source record as you recover them. A story without exhibits stays labelled as reported until documents are matched.

How do I know my submission was received?

You will receive a join confirmation email after signing the form, an upload receipt when you add documents, and a status-change email when a reviewer acts on a story you offered for publication.
