Class action · Case overview

The case, in plain terms.

This page summarizes what the group claim is about, where it stands, and what happens next. It is information, not legal advice, and reading it does not make you a client of any law firm.

Who the case is for

Providers and buyers who used the Field Nation platform and experienced payment, fee, account, scoring, or dispute-handling problems — whether as an individual or through a company.

What is alleged

  • Unpaid, short-paid, or reduced work orders after completion
  • Fees, deductions, or offsets applied without clear prior disclosure
  • Sudden account deactivation with funds or ratings affected
  • Scoring or rating changes that reduced access to work
  • Dispute handling that left members without an effective remedy

These are allegations drawn from members' own accounts, labelled as allegations until verified by a court or regulator.

Where it stands

The project is in the evidence-collection and enrollment stage. No lawsuit has been filed and no settlement exists. The legal barriers — arbitration clauses and class waivers — are documented openly in the research packet.

Settlement timeline

From enrollment to any resolution.

Class actions move slowly and nothing is guaranteed. This is the realistic sequence the claim follows, and where it sits today.

  1. 01

Evidence collection and enrollment · Ongoing

Providers and buyers file their own accounts — dates, amounts, work orders, and documents. Each record stays private to the member and the reviewers handling the claim.

  2. 02

State attorney general complaints · Underway

Members generate dated complaint drafts and file with their own state attorney general. A multi-state record strengthens the group claim.

  3. 03

Legal review of the assembled record · Next

The collected record — enrollments, experiences, and source documents — is reviewed against the arbitration clause, class waiver, and choice-of-law questions documented in the research packet.

  4. 04

    Filing decision · Ahead

Counsel evaluates whether to proceed as a class action, coordinated individual claims, or regulatory action, based on the strength and size of the record.

  5. 05

Certification, litigation, and any settlement · If a case proceeds

A court would decide class certification before any trial or settlement. No settlement exists today, and no outcome is guaranteed — members are notified at each stage by email.
